Lake Powell is the happiest place on earth, some may say its Disney Land but honestly nothing brings me more joy then a week in Lake Powell with my family!

I look forward to our annual LAKE POWELL family trip all year long! It is always such a fun, relaxing vacation. We always get in late on Saturday night & sleep the first night at the

Marina Doc.

Bryce & Lincoln were on dish duty the first night we were there. Lincoln grabbed the last dish soaking in the water and said, "Oh good the last plate!" Then Bryce pointed out the large stack of dishes waiting to be washed on the counter and Lincoln said, "Ahhh.... NUTS"!

Sy, Gwen, Bain, Alisa, Brianne, LeGrand. Squished on the couch but still having a great time.

Sunday morning it was Brianne's BIRTHDAY! She turned 25 at Lake Powell this year. One of the BEST places I can think of to spend my big day. Pancakes for breakfast with whipped cream!

Although we are on a houseboat camping with 23 adults and 4 children for the week, does not mean we have anything less than AMAZING GOURMET FOOD. For birthday lunch we have ALOHA CHICKEN SALAD! It was delicious and beautiful.

Gavin decided to play in the foot cleaning buckets instead of the lake 3 feet away! I guess whatever kept him busy and out of trouble.

Since it was Sunday we had a little Sacrament service in the evening. You can't beat church in your bathing suit!

Lincoln & Bryce had so much fun together. Here they are having a healthy snack. Don't let this fool you we had TONS of junk food but that's what vacations are all about!

Midnight "Margarita's" (virgin of COURSE) are always a must at Lake Powell. Anything cold to try to cool us off before we sleep helps. This year we had Strawberry & Pina Colada's.

First SKI run of the year for both Brianne & I. For some reason it is so much fun to get up and go for a ride together.

Can you believe we had a fire when it was still 100 degree's outside. I know we are crazy. But you can't go camping and not make SMORES.

I love LP it's the best place in the world, I can't wait to go back, Thanks Mom & Dad for taking us on another WONDERFUL Lake Powell trip. We all had such a great time and it always goes by way too fast.

We have been having so much fun in Utah since we got here, there has been lots of partying going on its hard to keep up with the blogging. but I will do my best to keep updating as much as possible!

We love being in Utah with our family, we've been swimming everyday, watching lots of movies and of course eating and staying up late! Im so happy I get to stay here to August, its going to be a great vacation!

One of my good friends Savannah got married and Im so happy I was able to attended her recpetion, everything was so beautiful. I love you Savy!

John was so excited cause he got to finally try the called to surf wave and he loved it. He keeps telling me we will have one of these in our back yard cause we are moving away from the ocean!! I can't say I would be opposed to the idea! :)

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!

Mom, Bri, Breanna, John and I got to go to the Stadium of Fire and we had so much fun! David Archuleta and Brad Paisley were the singers this year and we were thrilled, they both put on an awesome show! We had a blast watching the jets, the ski divers, and of course the fire works!

I had so many awesome video's of the singing and fireworks but I can't up load them.. bummer I know but If you have ever been to the staduim of fire you know how awesome it is and if you never have been you NEED to go!!

Mom and dad always put on a wonderful 4th of July party and it was so fun this year! We love having everyone come over and eat and swim.

After dinner we went down to our friends the Lewis and we lit off fire works and watched an out door movie in there backyard, we had a blast!

My mom said it best.. "I love a Holiday where you can eat all you want and blow things up"!! Well that's what we did and we did a lot of it! I love the 4th of July its a wonderful holiday, I'm so grateful for all the men and women serving our country. We are truly blessed and I hope we can always remember that!

A cruise for 2.. YES please!!!

John and I have been so busy the last couple of months, that we decided we needed a vacation! As part of John's 30Th birthday and pre graduation present we booked a 7 day Carnival Cruise to Mexico! I can't even begin to tell you how much fun we had, It was so nice just to spend time with John and relax. I would suggest to anyone to take a cruise, I can't wait to go on another one!!!

This was our room, everyone told us to get the cheapest room so we did and we ended up with bunk beds.. it was actually really nice and we got windows which helped so much!

I could not get enough strawberry daiquiris, they are my favorite!

Mini golf was so super fun, the wind made it tricky to play but we still had an intense competition!

John loved the all you can eat lobster tail.. I've never seen him eat so fast! :)

We loved the fancy nights, getting dressed up, eating good food and having fun dances and shows to go to was amazing!

WELCOME TO CABO..

We had a great time in Cabo, we ate at a really yummy places and got a real Mexican burrito! It was delicious!

John wasn't super excited to get called up on stage for a magic show but he rocked it and he was the best guy up there!

WELCOME TO PURETO VAILARTA..

We loved it here, the humidity was a little much for the both of us but the beaches and the ocean were so beautiful that we just playing in the water all day!

John loved the all you can eat soft served!

This was our last night fancy night on the cruise and we had a blast! It was a fun surprise to actually know some people on the cruise. Hyrum was in the same mission as John and they haven't seen each other in 9 years. So we had a great time playing games, relaxing and most of all catching up.

We had awesome waiters they put up with us all week!

OK this is a funny story... through out the whole cruise the dancers and singers put on a great shows for us, but everywhere we went John and I were getting complements on our beautiful dancing. This didn't just happen once it happened at least 5 or 6 times, people would come up to us the whole week telling us what a great job we did and asking us questions about how we got this job and if we liked it. Finally buy the 6Th time we just started taking the complements and making up answers.. anyway these are the actual dancers that we "looked" like! It was pretty funny!

We had an amazing week, it was awesome just to be able to spend time with John! We can't wait to go on another cruise.

Now we are in Utah for the summer continuing out our awesome vacation!!

Well the rumors are true Mr. Hatch turned 30 years old on June 11, I woke up super early to get our yummy traditional birthday breakfast ready to feast when everyone woke up!

We were so happy to have Jerry, Lezlie, Paige Z & the Love Sacs come to breakfast!

John got so many wonderful presents from family and friends we both just want to say a big thank you to all!!

Ok so here's the best part (I think) of the whole day.. John had no idea about any of the things that happened on his birthday. I had every part planned to be a surprise, birthday breakfast and his BIG SURPRISE PARTY!

I had decided I wanted to give John a FUN party for his 30th.. so I had to tell a few white lies to pull it off but it was all worth it. I got him to Palo alto where his sister and brother live, and we went to our nieces ballet performance and while we were there everyone gathered at there house. John was thinking we were going to go to a fancy french dinner after but little did he know there was a party waiting for him!!

Now for the big SURPRISE.. I had wrapped something small into a few bigger boxes to keep him wondering what I had gotten him. When he came to the last box there was a note on top that said "Just to see you smile, I'd do anything" when he opened the box he was totally shocked to see Tim Mcgraw tickets for that night! I was so excited and he was so excited, I couldn't have been happier everything worked out so perfect!

Things just kept getting better and better.. as we were waiting in line Tim was giving a private concert and we saw him walk out of his tent to get in his car, I screamed so loud he turned and looked at me and waved. I about died, It was so awesome!!!

We seriously had such a great time at the concert, I am so grateful for all our friends who made the effort to come, you guys made this possible and so fun!

We love you so much, Thanks again to everyone I know John felt so loved!

P.s John's favorite Tim Mcgraw song is Just to see you smile, which he played.. it was perfect with the whole theme of the party, it was awesome!

I just have to say I love San Francisco, but I love it more when you go with your friends!

This was one of the Yummiest Italian restaurants that we have found in the city,

and of course you can't go to the city with out stopping off for a delicious treat at Ghirardelli's!

I have to say.. I'm going to miss San Fran when we move...I better soak it up while I still can :)

For my Mom's birthday I decided I wanted to give her the best birthday surprise ever... ME!! I had been planning this trip for a few months but thankfully we were able to keep it surprise from my Mom and Dad (I had to let a few people in on it, so I had a ride from the airport :)

I flew in on Monday April 4th and had my sister Brittany pick me up from the airport while my mom watched her kids. When we got back to the house my mom was doing dishes and had her back towards us, Brittany walked in first and said "hello" and my mom said "Hi" back but didn't turn around so I said "Hi mom, Happy Birthday"!! My mom turned around and screamed like she had seen a huge spider! ( not that I am scary or creepy) it was just a very loud scream! It was awesome, it was exactly how I planned it and everyone was really surprised!

We had a great birthday week for my Mom and Brittany, filled with lots of fun activities and just relaxing!

Fist things first we took the kids bowling,

They had so much fun and they were so cute to watch!!

We had a fun craft night at Brittany's house with all the girls and we made cute bracelets like this one!

My Mom's actual Birthday was really cold and snowy but

my dad decided he was boycotting winter and dressed for spring!

We had birthday breakfast at a yummy restaurant called Communal!

Happy Birthday Mom we love you so much!

We had a very lovely B-day dinner at La Jolla Groves, it was amazing!!

Lincoln wanted to help make some cupcakes, he was a great helper!

The week went by way to fast but the following Monday the 11th was Brittany's birthday, so we met up for Birthday Lunch at Cafe Rio!!

My sisters family just built the cutest home and the kids rooms are so adorable I had to share some pictures!

Family Vacation!!!

After a very emotional week John and I were so ready for a vacation, a couple of weeks ago we were able to meet my entire family down in So. Cal for our (early) annual beach trip! We started our trip out up in Lake Arrow head at a cabin with LOTS of snow!

There was a lot of games!

There was a lot of relaxing!

Dad did a lot of tinker-toying, while the kids watched!

There was A LOT of crafting going on!

And a lot of Jimmer fan's rooting on BYU basketball. We all made Jimmer shirts for the big game unfortunately they lost in overtime.

We did all venture out into the cold to see the beautiful Lake in Arrowhead.

It snowed so much while we were up at the cabin we thought we might actually get snowed in. After a little cabin fever we thought we would go try to catch some rays down at Oceanside beach.

It was a little chilly but we all had a great time and did end up with sunburned noses.

Gavin!Avery was hiding out in the cupboard drinking her milk, just like Randy on "A Christmas Story"!

On Sunday everyone headed there separate ways home. This group was the last to leave so we had some really yummy hamburgers for lunch.

Where do I even begin to tell you how much we love this amazing, wonderful, loving, fun, organized, outgoing, friendly, happy, straight forward, spiritual, wife, mother, (in-law), grandma, and most of all a best friend! (The list could go on and on)

We love and miss you so much mama Liz, thanks for all your love and support!

It was a perfect day. Blue sky. Sun shining. Family and friends gathering

to remember an unforgettable person. Good food. Lots of laughing.

Old friends reuniting to share memories. It was as if Liz planned it herself which she did..

The whole Hatch family!

Liz would've loved every min of this party,

she hoped her memorial would be a celebration of her life. And it was.

She hoped the boys would tell funny stories. They did.

She wanted everyone to eat well, stay and chat, enjoy each other.

It was all that.

We can't be sure how many people attended but my

guess would be close to 700 people, the Stake Center

was filled to capacity and the over

1000 peanut-butter-balls (Liz's signature treat)

prepared for the guests were all quickly devoured.

As her family, we were overwhelmed by the out-pouring of love

&support.

But we were not surprised...

For Liz gave everything to so many others, it is no shock they showed

up to give a little back. We laughed,

we cried, we did both simultaneously.

It was a special day. You will be forever missed,

thank you for everything you have taught us!

You truly were an inspiration to many, you will never be forgotten!

We love you!!!

John and I had a very chill and relaxing Valentines Day this year only because Valentines is celebrated every day in the Hatch home!! :) I love Valentines because of the decorations, colors and especially all the CANDY AND TREATS!!

I love sugar cookies and cinnamon hearts.. oh they are to die for but sooooo hard to find! So naturally my mother being the wonderful person she is, she sent us this fun and yummy package filled with all our favorite treats, the movie Red and the cutest wreath she made!

Do to Valentines Day being on a very busy school and work day, we decided so go into the city on saturday with our friends the Luv Sacs and do some shopping and have a nice dinner! We had so much fun and can't wait to go again!

This was one of the best pizza places to eat, so yummy!

I love you John!

Ok so on Valentines day after dinner and visiting John's parents I came home to this little beauty..

I can't even tell you how surprised and EXCITED I was to see this beautiful gold ring! I have been telling John forever that I have wanted a plain single gold band that I can wear to work! He is such an amazing husband, I love my ring... its perfect! Thanks again babe it was a wonderful Valentines Day, I love you!!

I had such a fun Birthday this year, I'm so grateful for all my friends and family for all the calls and gifts! I really appreciate all the love and support everyone gives me!

This year was awesome because my parents flew out to spend time with John and I for my birthday! It was the best gift I got, we love having visitors and they made the week so fun! I'm so grateful for all the work that John and my parents did so I could have a wonderful Birthday!!

Of course I woke up to this wonderful tradition, and lets just say it was in fine form this year, we had the yummiest b-day breakfast and it was the best way to start the day!

I love having them in my kitchen!

Later that night we had a very fun Birthday party with my friends!

We had a great time playing headbands, just dance, and darts!

We had to hit up the Donut Wheel!!

Saturday morning we woke up early and started the trek to the Calaveras big trees!

Let just say it was worth the drive, words can't even explain how BIG and BEAUTIFUL these trees are!

If you have never seen these big trees it is something you need to ad to your bucket list, It is truly incredible, I'm so glad we were able to go!

After we got back form the big tree's we got ready for a nice dinner with Jani and Jared stone! Jani called ahead and had this fun surprise waiting for me! I felt like a celebrity, we had such a blast at dinner!

Thanks again to everyone for making my birthday so special, I love you all so much!!!

Well Christmas and New years have come and gone but I do have some cute pictures I should post just so we don't forget how great the holidays were!

John and I had so much fun this Christmas season buying decorations for our apartment! We didn't last year so we kind of went all out this year! Our little cubical felt so warm and cozy we wanted to leave our decoration up all year! I can't wait till next Christmas when we can do it all over again!

This year we spent Christmas with John’s family and It was a very special holiday because Johns entire family spent Christmas at the Hatch house! All 7 sibling and their husbands or wives and all the grandchildren! We had so much fun altogether and Liz had planned so many fun activities through out the week that we enjoyed! Thanks again to mark and Liz for all there hard work putting together such a wonderful Christmas, we will always remember it!

Happy New Year...

2 days after Christmas we were on a plane heading to Utah to spend New Years with my whole family! We had so much fun just spending time with friends and family playing games, sledding, shopping, and lots of eating! Thanks Mom and Dad for such a fun filled week!

A great way to spend Halloween!!!!

My sister Brianne and her Husband Brandon finally got a chance to come up North and visit us!! We were able to get a beach house in Monterey Bay for Halloween weekend, due to some trade work John did with Chiropractic! After a long week of school and work we were so excited for this weekend, we left around 10 p.m and arrived around 12. Bri and Brandon got in about 2:30 and of course I was to excited to sleep I waited up for them!!!

Since we only had 48 hours before we had to get back in the car and drive home, we packed in as much as we possibly could. Friday afternoon we went to a little deli for lunch and then walked around these beautiful gardens.
Look at these AMAZING flowers. They are called passion flowers and grow on a passion fruit vine. We could not believe they were real because we had never seen anything like it before.
The gardens were so fragrant and the architecture of the buildings around it were so neat. Perfect place for a photo shoot.
We went to the beach because the waves were at least 15 feet and watched some professional surfers in action.

Later that night we went for a LONG bike ride. Half of it was literally on the beach (which didn't work out so well) the other half was on a bike trail surrounded by eucalyptus trees.
Since not all the bikes were in working condition, Brandon had to ride a bike like a scooter because it had no chain! I guess it was better than the alternative above.
After really working up an appetite we looked up a highly rated pizza joint and had some really yummy dinner. This restaurant was in a large out door mall that you would never know was in Monterey because it is completely hidden from the road by huge trees. It took us a little while to find it but the scavenger hunt was half the fun.

Saturday morning we woke up and went to the most beautiful state park. We hiked for over 2 hours and saw some of the most gorgeous landscape ever.
It was the PERFECT hiking weather.

This might be one of the only places you can be hiking through the forest and along the coast.

Look at this chubby little seal. Of course Brandon threw something at the entire family before we could get a picture of all of them. This guy was too slow so I caught him before he hid in the water.

3 WORDS: gorgeous, amazing, beautiful!Same 3 words as above.

Nothing like a "PHAT BURGER" after a long hike. I know this picture turned out awful but the food tasted so yummy.

After our hike and lunch we got cleaned up and went to CARMEL. This is such a quaint little town with lots of shops and places to eat. This is a historic building but I thought this was the most beautiful RED FALL tree.

Carmel again had so many cool places you could do a photo shoot at. All the streets and building had so much character, it looked a lot like Europe.

This is a very well known FANCY restaurant called Casanova. It came highly recommended!

Next we went to the Monterey Pier and walked around the Wharf. They had it all lit up at night and it was so awesome. We didn't get any picture of the Wharf because we left Bri's camera in the car. We did take a lot of mental pictures so we could remember how fun it was!

We went home after and made some sugar cookies and watched the second half of Sherlock Holmes since we didn't finish it Friday night.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Before we said our goodbyes we had a yummy breakfast of muffins, eggs, yogurt and fruit. This weekend FLEW by, it wasn't nearly long enough but we loved EVERY minute of it. We were so glad that Bri & Brandon could come up and spend Halloween with us, we had so much fun we never wanted it to end!! We love and miss you guys so much and we can't wait to get together again!!!

A day to always remember!

3 years ago today my grandpa Grace Grace died, and I just wanted to pay tribute to him so he knows we still love & think about him all the time!! I love my Grandpa very much and he has been very missed the last 3 years. I love going to the temple and the feeling I get when I am there is truly amazing! It is truly a blessing to know that we can go to such an beautiful place and feel the love of those who have gone on before us! John and I have had some very wonderful experience's at the temple that involved Grandpa and I wouldn't give those up for anything! I love having the knowledge that if we live our lives righteously and faithfully we will be able to see him again. I know our Savior has a plan for us and it gives me so much comfort to know we are not alone, especially when we are struggling with loss and sadness. Death is not a easy thing to go through let alone try to deal with, but the only way to help us overcome the sadness and know we are going to be ok, is the love of our Heavenly father and Jesus Christ! They know pain and sorrow better then any of us and they only want us to be happy!

I just want everyone to know how much I love my family and I would be nothing without them! I love you all so much, thanks for always being there for me! Let's think of all the happy times we spent with our Grandparents and our hearts will be filled with love and joy!

Bridal showers, bonfires, babies and LOTS more!!

Last weekend I flew out to Utah for my sister's bridal shower, it just happened to fall over Memorial weekend and it was so much fun! It was the first time in a long time that all my sisters were back together and we had a blast just hanging out with the family! We did so many fun things but the trip had to start out with... CAFE RIO of course!

My little sister Brenna is getting married, and I'm so happy I was able to be at her bridal shower! It turned out so adorable and fun as usual!

I LOVE MY FAMILY!!

After the shower we went to play on my parents new play ground with the kido's!

Later that night we had a bonfire at my dad's horse barn!

For memorial day we went down to my Grandpa's grave and had donuts in his honor!

G man could not get enough donuts..

Or whip cream!

Brenna is moving into her apt and she needed help fixing it up, I think we did more damage then good but I know it will be so cute when we finish it all up!

We had so much fun hanging out by the pool with the kids, they are so cute!

We ended our trip with the BEST shaved ice ever! We ate there 3 times and my sister is having them come cater apart of their wedding! I'm so excited

We had such a great weekend and I can't wait to go back for the wedding, Its going to be a awesome event!

Summer fun, Vacations, Birthdays and Mother's!

I know it has been awhile since I have blogged and yes I have a lot of catching up to do! So here is what's been going on for the last couple of weeks! Besides being super sick the sun has come out and it is feeling more like summer so I'm working on our patio to make it a little more approachable! Thanks to my cousin Carol-lyn she got us these really cute pots and chairs to help spice up our very boring patio. Its still a working progress, but I'll post more pictures if I ever get it finished!

The Babcocks invited us to go to the A's game with them the other day and we had so much fun! We had V.I.P seating and it was Colby's first baseball game, It was really exciting he got a game ball and made it on the jumbo screen!

You can't go to a baseball game and not get some nachos

Or pizza and a churro (to bad it was the grossest churro EVER)

We got very exciting news Last Thursday that we have been waiting FOREVER for! John and Brent passed their national boards! We were all so excited, a big weight is lifted off our shoulders! Good Job boys!

We've been planning a trip to So Cal for the last few weeks to attend a wedding for one of John's mission companions, the wedding was in San Diego and it worked out nicely we were able to visit Brianne and Brandon while we were there!

We had the best beach day ever!

John was able to surf for a couple of hours and I finally got a video of him.. Pretty hot stuff!

While I was with Bri we got a very unexpected package from Lester, Can you believe this.. our mother sent us a mothers day package! ha ha she is adorable! My mother is the best.. look how cute this package is..

It was full of yummy treats and very cute pair of earrings!

Later that night we stayed at the Hilton Hotel for a night, we were treated like kings! We were giving a wedding gift basket when we arrived and we had such a nice room!

This was the view from our room the swimming pool was awesome as well as tennis, golf, etc.

We just want to say Thank you to Adam's parents for treating us so nicely, the wedding was wonderful and we are so happy for Adam and Sheridan Paulson! We love you guys!

While we were in So. Cal we had many events take place, my sweet little baby girl Avery turned the BIG 1 years old! She is so sweet and we wish we could have been there to help her celebrate! We love you Avery Sue!

Another big event took place It was Mother's Day, and we just wanted to say how much we love our Mother's! My mom as well as John's mom has been so inspiring and such wonderful role models to both of us! We love our Mother's more then words could ever express! They are such great women and we would not be the people we are today without them! We hope you had a great day and just know how much we love and admire you! Thanks for everything you do for us, we can't thank you enough! We are so lucky to have such great mothers in our lives to always help us when we need them, as well as just to be there for a good laugh! We are truly blessed and once again we LOVE YOU!

It was Eli's birthday day as well as my Grandma's Birthday on Mother's day! So my family threw one massive party for Mother's day, Grandma, Eli and Avery's B-Day! Be-lated Easter post!

John and I had a great Easter this year, It was very relaxing which was a great change from our usually very busy schedule! We started out the holiday by coloring Easter eggs with our BF's the Babcocks (as you can see from the picture we were very creative) ha ha! We also received yet another awesome brown package from Utah, this one I was a little hesitant to open since it came on April fools day, but once again Lester has out done her self AGAIN with a Easter basket filled with real Easter grass and yummy treats! Thanks we really loved the package. On Easter morning John and I woke up and saw what the Easter bunny brought us then we enjoyed watching conference and spending the day with the Hatch family, Thank you Liz for all the great food!

I really love this holiday, Easter is such a wonderful time of year, I'm so grateful for my Savior and all the sacrifices he has made for me! We are so truly blessed and we always need to remember that! We love my families so much and we just want to say thank you for all your love and support! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

Weekend O' Fun!

This weekend was a long time coming, we have been planning this trip since November and I can't believe its already come and gone so quickly. We're so happy Brittany and Adam were able to come to California and visit us. We really had so much fun, and we packed so much into 3 days it was awesome!

Our 1st day....

We drove down to Santa Cruz and rented beach cruisers, had a great lunch on the pier, saw some fun sights, and watched some fun surf competitions!

Later that day.. We drove to San Jose and got ready for the JOHN MAYER CONCERT! The concert was so much fun, we sat on the 12th row and let me just say Mr. Mayer never disappoints. Thanks Ad rock for getting those tickets!

Late that night.. After the concert just to top the day off we had to hit up donut wheel! :)

The 2nd day.. We were off for our adventure in San Francisco to shop till we drop, but first we had to full fill one of Adams long lost dreams, to stand at the gates of PIXAR! Done and Done!

Later that night.. Since the boys were so good at letting Brittany and I shop all day with no complaining we let them choose where we ate for dinner and of course it was sushi. This was one of the best rated Sushi places in San Francisco so we had to try it. The boys loved their rolls but brittany and I weren't the biggest fans.

Late that night.. To make up for the sushi places we had to stop off at the best dessert place Ghirarelli's! Yum Yum

The 3rd day.. Before Brittany and Adam had to leave I wanted to show them down town Danville, it has really cute shops and some fun places to eat. We decided we had some more time to kill so we went to Berkley and got FAT SLICES PIZZA and walked the grounds of Berkley! It is a very pretty school but a lot of very dirty people! On the way to the air port we stopped off at Nordstrom rack and looked around for a few Min's, then we dropped them off at the airport and said our good byes. I hated seeing them leave we had such a fun time. There were Lots of laughs, jokes and memories that we will talk about for a long time!

Thanks again for coming out Brit and Adam we love you guys and can't wait to see you again.

I love it when family comes to visit, honestly nothing is better! Brooke, Jimmy and the boys came out to see us but to also spend time in Monterey at there friends beach house! I decided to take off work and go with them, but sadly John could not come! We had such a fun time at the beach house, although we didn't have the best weather it was so fun just hanging out and going exploring when we could!

John and I had such a fun Valentine's weekend filled with family, friends, and a lot of LOVE (and food)! It was a blast spending the past 2 weeks with Liz, Paige and Erin. I felt like I was the one with bad health because those girls can go for hours:) I love my new sisters...We just wanted to say thank you to my family for the wonderful package of valentine goodies, Mom and Brittany sure know how to make me feel at home with cute decorations, which gives our home a holiday feeling of love. We were stoked to have a Dupree spend the weekend at our home, haha... MJ drove solo all the way from Utah, and we loved having him! I just want to say how much I love John and I'm so grateful for him, he truly is a wonderful husband who knows how to make me so happy!

I love getting surprises in the mail.. especially when I see that it came from Utah!

My Birthday Bash weekend!

I've said it once and I'll say it again (and I'm sure I'll say it a thousand times more) but I have the best husband in the world! John, being the wonderful man he is, decided he wanted to plan my birthday for me this year. I was happy about this because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do for it! Being away from my family is hard enough just on a regular bases but holiday's and birthday's are even harder. John, knowing this about me, knew he needed to plan something SUPER FUN and let me tell you he did! John got up Thursday morning and made me a wonderful and delicious B-day breakfast, which I was really grateful for because he missed one of his classes. After a very long day at work and not knowing what John had up his sleeve, I opened the best presents from my family and John and then he put me in the car and we were off for a fun filled night! As soon as we arrived, I saw the building, I was so excited to see where we were...Dave and Buster's! Dave and Busters is a GIANT chuck-e-cheese for adults. John invited a bunch of our friends and family to come and enjoy the night with us! We had such a good time eating and playing games! I honestly felt like I was 10 years old again, it's exactly what I needed!!! Thanks again for those of you who could come, and thank you thank you for all the GREAT presents I received:) I have the best friends and family's in the world!

All I can say is I love Utah, and John and I were so lucky to be able to spend Christmas and New years with my family! We had so much fun, and we made a lot of wonderful memories while we were there! Today is such a special day for John and I, all I can really say is being married is one of Heavenly Fathers greatest gifts he could give to us here on earth! John and I have had the best year even though it has had its hard times I couldn't think of any other way I would have spent this last year! Our anniversary fell on a Sunday this year and John has been in midterms and finales the last couple of weeks, so we didn't do much but just spend time together is really the best present we can give each other! Even though our Bishop told John to take me out for a night out on the town we decided to watch the Christmas devotional, play games and we ended the night by watching our wedding video.. ( OK.. we went and got a donut from DW but that was it)! We will celebrate when we both a have a week where we can go somewhere warm, also our cake topper is at mom and dad's house so we will bust that baby out when we go home for Christmas!

John I love you so much, you are the best husband in the world and I can't even begin to tell you how grateful I am for you. You are the man of my dreams and I'm so happy we waited for each other! I know this is cheese but you really are my better half and you make my life whole and complete! Your everything to me, and I can't picture my life without you. Thank you for being so kind and willing to do anything for me, I can't wait to spend eternity with you!

I love getting these packages not only to do they make us so happy but my mom sends they best treats and decorations, which my apartment needs desperately! We have 3 little shelves on one wall (which is kinda looks dinky) but the decorations look very cute on them! I just wanted to say thank you very much mom and family, we love you and can't wait to see you in a couple days!

I just wanted to say a BIG THANKS to the Babcock's for hosting a fun Halloween party, We had such a great time and of course there were the best snacks and goodies! There also were some really cute costumes and we enjoyed taking the kids trick or treating! I'm sad I don't really have any pic's to show except for the eye ball cup cakes I made, but I would say it was a very successful Halloween, Thanks Again!

Well I promised I would post some picture of our date night, and I have to say it was one of the best dates ever, we had so much fun!

We went to one of our favorite pizza places.. Gay Nineties!

We went to the pumpkin patch.. OINK OINK

This was the biggest pumpkin I have ever seen or hugged!

Then we decide to make a home made puzuki's (sp?) but we didn't have the right kind of pans so we improvised with a bread pan and I have to say the peanut butter cookie with vanilla ice cream was so good!

Well it's not 27 pumpkins but it is a diamond ring asking me to marry him!

Then to finish off the night we watched the movie the Proposal.. Perfect I know!

One year ago today John asked me the best question in the world, Becky will you marry me? I love thinking about this phrase and I am reminded of it everyday especially by looking at my ring and being spoiled by John all the time! I just can't believe it's already been a year and getting closer to our actual one year anniversary! What a great year this has been, it's been full of love, family, adventure, laughs, tears, happiness, and excitement! John and I have grown so close to one another throughout this year, and it's been such a wonderful experience that I know will only get better as the years go on! I love John with all my heart and I know he loves me unconditionally (because of the sweet note he left on my mirror this morning among with many other things). John and I are going to go on a fun date tonight and carve a pumpkin to keep the memory alive, so I will post pictures of that later but for now here's just a little reminder of how cute my husband is!

This last weekend John surprised me with a ticket to Utah, so I could go home for our annual Halloween parties! Each year my mom and dad put together a fun pumpkin carving event for the whole family and any friends that want to come! There's always delicious food; creative and intense but friendly pumpkin carving contest! Despite all these people who carved pumpkins it didn't match the number that John did for our engagement last year:) Thanks mom and Dad for a GREAT party!

This weekend was just one party after another, the next day my Aunt Lisa and her friend threw the best Witches party ever! It was such a fun party, Thanks Lisa for spending the time to put it all together!

This time 2 years ago our Grandpa Grace left this earth to go live with our Heavenly Father. I just wanted to write a little tribute to him so Grandpa and everyone one else knows how much I love him and how much I truly miss him! There are so many wonderful things to say about him its hard to only pick a few but as I was laying in bed last night wonderful memories filled my head and I felt a certain piece of comfort that he was around and thinking of me too! Some of my favorite memories of Grandpa were these..

1. Ever since I was a little girl and up until the last few months of his life, every time I came over to visit I would walk into the family room where Grandpa was watching cartoons (usually bugs bunny) and I would say " Hi Gramps, how ya doin" and he would say " Well hello there come over give me a hug but first SHOW ME YOUR SERIOUS FACE"! I would shoot him a glance with no smile and see how long I could last. I was pretty good at it when i was younger but as I grew older it was hard to look at my Grandpa and not smile! But for some reason Grandpa loved my serious face and it was our little thing.. I miss it!

2. I think we can all agree that there are so many good memories of Grandpa during Onion days but I remember this one year in particular because we made out with a hall. My sisters and cousins decide one year to sale snow cones at the carni, Grandpa didn't think the people of Payson would be so generous and buy any from us! So Grandpa said " What ever you guys make ill double it". (Probably only thinking we would make 5 or so dollars) Agreeing quickly to his offer with a hidden smirk behind our grins (Grandpa didn't know we were the best snow cones sales women ever). We ended up making about 40 dollars and Grandpa was shocked but he kept his word and payed up! He was actually very impressed!

3. Like Walter from the movie the Burbs Grandpa and Grandma "He has the best yard on the block.. and you know why"... because they were both out there day and night taking care of the lawn and the rose bushes! One day I remember pulling up to their house and Grandpa was mowing his lawn on one of the rideable lawn mowers, and all the kids jumped out of the car and asked if we could go for a ride, the loving and generous guy Grandpa was said "Sure everyone can have a turn". I loved riding around with him, he made something so small and simple something I will remember forever!

4. Every time I listen to the song Abide with Me; 'Tis Eventide I will always think of my Grandpa, and how much I love him! Listening to that song of course makes me cry with out fail but it also helps me think of all the good times we shared together. Grandpa was an amazing man he was so sweet, kind, and loving, he truly was the BEST GRANDPA IN THE WORLD! We love you so much and miss you terribly!

I just want to say how happy we are to still have my Grandma Grace here with us and she is the best reminder of Grandpa! :) I love you Grandma I hope you doing well!

It's raining its pouring and I don't have to work, so i figured this would be the best time to start our blog! But where to being... John and I have been married 10 months and have shared many wonderful memories together and with our friends and family so i figure i will just post some of our more recent pics and moments! We hope you enjoy!

Halloween goodness

After a long day or work and school John and I were so excited to finally come home and open our Halloween surprise! Of course my mom had it packed to the brim, it was full of the best Halloween treats and cutest Halloween decorations ever!(which our apt needs badly) We just want to say thank you. Thank you, we loved it so much and truly appreciate all the thought, time, and money that was put into this package!

Banana Bread

After a very long day of work i walked into our apt. and the smell of very over ripe banana's almost knocked me to the floor. I immediately ran to my computer and looked at the recipe for banana bread! So attempting this without a sifter and never making this before, i just jumped right in and within 15 Min's I had some thing in the oven... keeping my fingers crossed and having hope, John walks in and says "Yum banana bread!" Pleased with myself I said come over and check it out! I opened the oven and the loving guy, John says, "Is that what banana bread supposed to look like"? I shut the oven and say " I don't know but its not about what it looks like but how it tastes" RIGHT? well 2 hours later we tried it, and it was delicious!

Date Night

John and I try to go on at least one date a week whether it be going to get ice cream, dinner, movie, bowling, going to the temple or a combination! We decided last week we wanted to go bowling and to Mimi's Cafe. Neither of us had gone bowling for over a year so we thought it sounded fun! As we are getting ready to start our very intense bowling game, I start practicing my old bowling class moves and John is picking the winning ball I decide to go fist and of course my fist bowl is a strike :) but that wasn't the best part the lane next to us was a family full of energy but no teeth, the ladies starting yelling " YOU GO GIRL, YOU SHOW THIS PINS WHO'S BOSS"!! It was hilarious, they made comments like that all night. When John got a strike and of course started doing some dance moves the ladies chanted " YOU GO BOY, SHOW US THOSE DANCE MOVES" and they started dancing too! They were so fun it made our bowling night so much better! Then two lanes over we saw Tim and we could not help but take this picture, Tim was so cute and he inspired John and I to always keep blowing no matter how old we get! It was a great date night..
